Our hearts go out to everyone affected by the recent fires. During this challenging time, we’re here to help—whether you need housing, have questions, or just need support. Please don’t hesitate to reach out.
If you’d like to assist, the greatest need right now is housing—short- and long-term rentals, as well as homes and condos for sale. If you have available properties or ADU spaces, let us know so we can connect them with those in need.
Your generosity can make a real difference. Below are two great volunteer opportunities worth exploring. We appreciate your support and are here for you every step of the way.
Governor Gavin Newsom has announced the "LA Rises" initiative to help rebuild Los Angeles communities ravaged by wildfires. Led by Mark Walter, Magic Johnson, and Casey Wasserman, the initiative commits up to $100 million in private-sector resources to support recovery. The wildfires destroyed more than 3,000 structures, displaced 100,000 residents, and caused over $5 billion in damage. LA Rises will collaborate with government and local organizations to provide financial tools and innovative solutions for rebuilding. The initiative builds on the statewide "California Rises" program, which has been aiding fire-affected communities since 2018. Mayor Karen Bass praised the effort, calling it crucial to recovery.
In a separate effort, the United Way of Greater Los Angeles has raised over $8.3 million for wildfire relief, distributing $1 million to 25 organizations for immediate aid and long-term recovery. Future funding will focus on equitable rebuilding and community resilience.
